What is health coaching?
a process to help you make lasting, sustainable changes in your health and wellbeing
a collaboration between you and the coach: you have expertise in your life and circumstances, and the coach has expertise as a facilitator- with the goal of getting you to your best health and wellness
coaching utilizes your strengths and core values; empowers you to find your own unique solutions; supports you in your change journey; recognizes and connects you to your motivations and wisdom; and provides accountability to you as desired for the changes you’re making
goal setting, action steps and supportive review help you move forward toward your health vision
Individual coaching is available via videoconferencing, telephone or in-person locally.
The process looks like this:
an initial 45 minute no charge discovery session in which we'll get to know each other, discuss how you see your health presently and what you'd like to work toward, and determine our fit to work together
the next session is about developing a compelling vision for your future, and the goals to get there
ongoing sessions are scheduled 2-4 times per month, according to your needs and preferences. A three month commitment is suggested to make sustainable changes
regular re-evaluation of where we're at and adjustment as needed to reach your objectives

I have had the pleasure of working with Virginia Hurdon as my Health Coach for the past year.
